Junior Architect (Planning and Design)

BASIC FUNCTION

  • To provide additional assistance in preparation of presentation, architectural drawings, and necessary documents of a project during the conceptualization and schematic phase of the projects

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Schematic Phase
    – Assists in gathering necessary data for the conceptualization of design ideas with the team.
    – Provides assistance in doing architectural plans, area tabulations, and other materials needed for the presentation.
    – Provides assistance in revising design drawings and presentation as per instructed by the Immediate Supervisor or as needed.
  • Project Coordination
    – Assists Immediate Supervisor and/or other Senior Personnel during client/site meetings or presentation.
    – Attends product presentations as needed in the project with consent from the Immediate Supervisor.
    – Provides constant work accomplishments as assigned by the Immediate Supervisor ranging from project status, current design stage to possible or present project issues.
    – Assists in collaborating with other departments involved in preliminary planning of design for design intent and project conflict resolution, if any, as needed for project presentation.
    – Assists in collaborating with allied professionals for the utility of the design intent as instructed by the Immediate Supervisor.
    – Keeps communication line open for client’s queries regarding the project.
  • Others
    – Any other duties and responsibilities as instructed by the Immediate Supervisor and/or to attain the organizational goals.
    – Records minutes of meeting and regularly check incoming and outgoing emails.
    – Provides assistance in preparing project records as required for billing requirements.
    – Keeps back up records of any files and documents involving the team projects’.

JOB QUALIFICATION

Candidates must possess the ff:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture and/or any other related fields.
    If undergraduate, must at least have undergone equivalent training/s and/or modules.
  • Preferably fresh graduates, but any work experience in design conceptualization and planning is a plus.
  • Familiar with zoning, building code, and other regulatory requirements as they relate to the project.
  • Must have a strong background in utilizing various softwares in architecture especially with Archicad, Autocad, and Sketch-up. Any additional softwares expertise is a plus.
