Project Title: Siargao Hostel
Location: General Luna, Surigao del Norte
A hostel designed to complement with the fast-growing tourism of Siargao Island. Situated along the shore of General Luna, the given challenge was to maximize the elongated lot confined by the beach and a road on opposite sides.
In relation to efficient space planning, the different amenities and units were planned in such a way that it will be oriented to the Pacific. Units were designed geometrically to generate different views.
The Siargao Hostel’s rustic design—by the use of old wood and distressed surfaces—is essentially to access a connection with the given environment and draw attention to locals and tourists of the island.
